| Place History: |
In the years of unrest before the superflu pandemic, it became common for scientific laboratories of all kinds to be build underground to protect against attacks, both from unruly domestic mobs and well as foreign threats such as nuclear missiles. Advances in construction technologies allowed for even very large laboratories to be build underground in the span of a few short months. After construction was completed, crews quickly restored the landscape leaving little to no trace of the subterranean structure. These "sub-labs" contained provisions to sustain occupants for a period of many years, even decades. |
